Compressor, sustain & noise gate effect pedal
As a compressor, the Bloom features an optical limiter circuit inspired by compressors designed during the golden age of tube circuits. Optical compressors are renowned for their transparency and subtlety. Although the Bloom can be aggressive with extreme compression settings, its strength lies in its ability to bring smoothness and roundness to your sound, thanks to its optical circuit that polishes the rough edges of your sound. The frequency response of the compression section is as flat as a breadboard (!) and doesn't alter the bass or treble at all.
