Blackstar HT-5RH MKIII

The award-winning HT range is one of Blackstar's tube amp series. Offering guitarists classic tube amp sound in a compact format, it has become a must-have for beginners practicing at home and professional studio players alike. Blackstar's R&D team has drawn on decades of experience to create this new HT MK III series.

The HT-1R MK III, HT-5R MK III and HT-20R MK III amplifiers retain all the features for which the HT MKII series is renowned, plus CabRig, the world's first IR (Impulse Response) based DSP speaker simulator. CabRig gives guitarists access to hundreds of speaker configurations, pickups, pickup placements and room setups. These settings can be saved and stored as 3 presets that can be recalled directly from the amp. An incredible selection of sound options for live or recording is at your disposal!

In addition to these cutting-edge new features, the HT MK III series boasts an attractive new look, inspired by high-end boutique amplifiers. The control panel is clear and uncluttered, with no corners combined with classic 'chicken head' knobs and new edging. We've chosen new high-quality mini-switches, updated the LED color and added a metal logo. Without a doubt, the design of the new HT MK III amps matches their sonic performance!

What you can expect from the new HT MK III amps:

- Blackstar's patented Infinite Shape Feature (ISF) control. Unique to Blackstar products, this control allows you to switch from an 'American' sounding amp to a classic 'British' sounding amp.
- Power reduction: a switchable circuit on the HT-5R MK III and HT-20R MK III models enables transparent, efficient attenuation down to just 10% of the amplifier's rated power.
- CabRig: Our IR-based DSP simulator. Choose from hundreds of microphone and speaker combinations with the free software, and store up to 3 CabRig presets directly in your amplifier.
- Professional recording via USB output: now with USB-C, it's the easiest way to integrate the sounds of a tube amp into your recordings.
- The innovative Clean channel offers the ultimate in quality and possibilities for clean sounds. It features a Voice switch: American Clean and British Clean.
- The rich, dynamic Overdrive channel has its own Voice switch: Classic Overdrive and Modern Overdrive. Hi Gain sounds are accurate and precise.
- All models feature four voices, switchable via the optional FS-22 and FS-16 footswitches. This makes a wide choice of tube sounds easily accessible.
- Line input for jamming or listening to music.
- Line out for practice or silent recording.
- HT" stands for "High Tension", the high voltage required for the tubes to reach their optimum sound potential.
