The D'Addario EJ76 string sets are designed and sized for mandola, with fifth tuning like violas (C to A). Phosphor bronze was introduced into string making in 1974 by D'Addario, and has subsequently become synonymous with warmth, brilliance and tonal balance. D'Addario Phosphor Bronze strings are spun with corrosion-resistant phosphor bronze on a hexagonal core of high carbon steel.
