The DIGITECH Whammy Ricochet polyphonic pitch-shifting pedal is an evolution of the original Whammy, whose effect is automatically generated by the pedal; all you have to do is adjust the double potentiometer to set the speed at which the note rises and falls, and activate the footswitch.
The Whammy Ricochet lets you move the pitch over intervals of seconds, fourths, fifths, sevenths, octaves and double octaves, and offers two modes, Classic for harmonizing notes and Chords for optimizing chord shifting. The Range control lets you choose whether the note goes up or down.
The Momentary control toggles between a mode in which the pitch drops when the footswitch is released, and a mode in which the selected harmonization is maintained until the effect is deactivated. The Whammy Ricochet is physically less intrusive than previous versions, and above all offers new sounds that were previously impossible to obtain.
