Twenty-five years ago, the dissatisfaction of a young professional guitarist gave rise to the study that would give the pick its "renaissance": the Dugain Standug is fitted with thumb and index finger rests, offering excellent grip reinforced by the use of very hard woods (ebony, amourette, guaiac), materials with natural anti-slip qualities which, combined with the shape of the DUGAIN, create a suction cup effect as soon as the fingers that grip it start to sweat.

All tips are hand-cut and pre-tipped, making them easy to move back and forth, and providing a warm, rich and powerful sound from the very first notes.
To offer a range of different tones, DUGAINs are also made from coconut shell, buffalo or ram horn, ox bone, various stones such as rose quartz, jasper or hematite, and various metals such as bronze and silver.Some DUGAINs are also available for left-handed use: John Mac Laughlin, Al Di Meola, Biréli Lagrène, Ingwee Malmsteen, Mike Stern, Pierre Cullaz, Henri Salvador, and many others.
