Description
The M50 is a precision engineered 50 kHz omnidirectional measurement microphone.
It is ideal for acoustic measurements, including high-end loudspeaker design and quality control, scientific research, ultrasonic or subsonic transducer measurements, or any application requiring a highly accurate free-field measurement microphone.
An ultra-wide, flat frequency response that extends from 3Hz to 50kHz and is flat across the spectrum. An omnidirectional polar response that is exceptionally coherent. A sound pressure level of 140dB without distortion or handling noise.
In audio, our perception of what sounds real and natural is incredibly sensitive to time domain resolution. In particular, the level of detail present in the initial transient is responsible for much of our sense of content, meaning and frequency balance. This includes attributes such as 'timbre', 'texture' and 'air'. Earthworks' ultra-fast technology ensures that every performance sounds like life.
