Electric guitar pickup
The EMG 89 is a splittable humbucking pickup, meaning it can also be used to obtain single-coil pickup sounds. It is equipped with 2 preamps. In dual mode, it produces warm, powerful sounds similar to the EMG 85. In single, a mode activated by the push-pull potentiometer, it's the strat sound of the EMG SA that's glossy and dynamic. Highly versatile, it installs seamlessly in either neck or bridge position.
