After many years of playing EMG pickups, in 2009 Metallica's James Hetfield contacted EMG president Rob Turner to ask him to design a pickup that would combine the advantages of passive and active pickups. After several tests, the EMG JH Set is finally available, offering both clear, punchy sounds and very high attack and output levels.
