The EPIPHONE Inspired By Gibson Futura RD Custom solid body electric guitar (EIFRDCTLSNH ) is a modern, versatile reinterpretation of the legendary Gibson SG of the 1960's. Introduced by Gibson Guitar Corporation in 1977, the RD (for Reseach & Development) draws dual inspiration from the Gibson Explorer and Firebird. With an impressive specification, the Futura RD Custom should appeal to lovers of big sound, from Hard-Blues to more contemporary Metal!

Its luthiery takes up the essentials of the original specification, with a body and set neck glued in Mahogany. The fingerboard is made of Ebony, a plus point if you like defined saturation. The 22 frets are stainless steel, another very qualitative argument, and it's equipped with new Epiphone ProBucker™ Ignite Humbuckers pickups that produce big saturations, without lacking clarity or nuance on clears and crunches. Dual push/pull volume knobs toggle each pickup from dual to single-coil. The tone potentiometers, also push/pull, activate phase inversion options. The Futura's playing comfort is absolutely remarkable, with a Modern C neck profile and a hybrid radius ranging from 10" to 14", enabling you to play your most furious solos with ease.

Last but not least, the Futura's attention to detail (locking tuners, Graphtech nut) and finish, with superb "Super 400 Split-Block Inlays" fretboard markers, multi-ply purfling and two magnificent holographic shades, Midnight Ember Shift and Twilight Shift, are sure to set you apart on stage.
