Epiphone Inspired By Gibson ES-339 - pelham blue

TheEPIPHONE Inspired By Gibson ES-339 (IGES339PENH1) is a semi-hollowbody electric guitar with a unique character somewhere between an ES-335 and a Les Paul Standard. The ES-339 is based on the design of the ES-335, but with a reduced body size similar to that of a Les Paul, giving you the best of both worlds; it's a guitar that's formidable in its versatility. Its Maple design, combined with the internal Maple center block that joins the soundboard and back, and to which the pickups, bridge and tailpiece are attached, is the source of the ES-339's punchy, biting, sustain-rich character.

The neck is constructed from Mahogany with a proven Laurier fingerboard, and the 'Mortise & Tenon' body-neck joint maximizes the wood-to-wood contact between the two parts, ideal for improving conduction, sustain and acoustic amplitude. The Epiphone ES-339 Guitar's curve is a Rounded C emulating that of the original Gibson Les Pauls from the 50's.
The 22 frets are of the medium-jumbo type, made from a resistant alloy of approximately 80% nickel - 20% silver.

The pickups are Epiphone Classic Alnico Pro inspired by the popular Gibson Classic 57's. Since the change of management in 2018, the good news at Gibson has been one after another: major investments to rehabilitate the production tool and offer an increased, homogeneous and constant production quality, pricing revised downwards, redesigned ranges for greater readability, and icing on the cake quite a few new products.

MaintenanceNitrocellulose varnish, as on vintage Gibson instruments, plays a major role in the instrument's "breathing" thanks to its porous nature (vibrations are not muffled by the varnish).
