One of the most important and distinctive effects of the '80s has to be the chorus. Capable of transforming a clean sound into one so rich it became representative of an entire era. However, in the '80s, the analog pedals that produced this iconic sound also generated their fair share of sound loss and unwanted noise.
When Foxgear engineers began developing the new Ballade chorus, they wanted to revive the typical sounds of landmark effects like the Boss CE-1 and CE-2, but with specific requirements: keep the circuit entirely analog, design a pedal that generates no unwanted noise and no signal loss at any frequency, and have better low-frequency response so it can also be used on bass.
As with all Foxgear effects, the Ballade is designed with quality audio components and features a true noise-relay bypass.
