Offered in a limited edition of 1000, the GIBSON Collector's Edition 1959 Humbucker Series 3 Pickup Set is, according to the manufacturer, the most faithful reproduction to date of the legendary "Patent Applied For" Humbucking Pickup of the 1950s. It is considered the Holy Grail by most guitarists.
The original P.A.F. was fitted with Alnico II, Alnico III or Alnico IV magnets. Murphy Lab's craftsmen analyzed various vintage examples and Gibson archives to develop this magnificent replica, finally based on Alnico III magnets.
