Double neck guitar
Jimmy Page's 1969 Gibson EDS-1275 Doubleneck is one of rock's most iconic solid body electric guitars. While Gibson began production of the model in 1958, it was clearly in the hands of the Led Zeppelin legend that it became timeless. The GIBSON Custom Shop Jimmy Page EDS-1275 Doubleneck (EDS1275JPVOCH1) is a clone of Page's personal example, with features and ribs captured using 3D technology.
The Jimmy Page EDS-1275 Custombuckers pickups with AlNiCo 5 magnets (ceramic capacitors) faithfully reproduce the deep temperament of the original instrument. Sold with Custom Shop case, vintage-style leather strap, certificate of authenticity and a photo of the famous Barrie Wentzel.
History: the Double 12 is probably the least-known of the guitars introduced in 1958, the most notable of which are of course the Explorer and Flying V. Between 1958 and 1962, the Double 12 was quite different from its present form, with a hollow-body body featuring a Spruce top and Maple body; in 1962 the Double 12 became the EDS-1275 with a solid Mahogany body to match the design of the new SG.
It was this revised version that became a legendary electric guitar, thanks to Jimmy Page, who used it on the immortal "Stairway to Heaven" as well as on "The Song Remains The Same" and "The Rain Song".
Preserving my GibsonNitrocellulose is an old-fashioned varnish that is highly prized for its acoustic qualities, but which requires particular care. Be careful not to place your guitar on any stand that could alter the varnish; we recommend the Hercules brand, whose foams have been designed to avoid this type of inconvenience. The "Gibson Vintage Restoration Kit" maintenance pack will enable you to clean and polish your guitar without risk.
