Signature electric guitar

The GIBSON Custom Shop Kirk Hammett 1989 Les Paul Custom solid body electric guitar (CSKH89LPCEBBC1) is a replica of the unique model that Metallica's lead guitarist has used for many years on stage and in the studio. Meticulously reproduced by the craftsmen at Murphy Lab Custom Shop, it features the Fishman® Powerbridge piezo bridge pickup system / Fishman Powerchip preamp. A dedicated volume lets you mix it at will with the 490R (neck) and 498T (bridge) magnetic pickups. The result is a sound reminiscent of an acoustic guitar, as well as a hybrid electric/acoustic sound for light saturation.

Maintaining my GibsonThe nitrocellulose varnish, similar to that on vintage Gibson guitars, plays a major role in the instrument's "breathing" thanks to its porous nature (vibrations are not muffled by the varnish). To avoid damaging your guitar, we recommend Hercules stands with specially formulated non-abrasive foams. Choose Gibson polishes for effective, risk-free cleaning and polishing.
