Custom Shop & Star's Music

The Gibson Custom Shop Made To Measure (M2M) program has been around since 2013. It allows you to place an order for the Gibson of your dreams (be it a Les Paul, an SG, an ES-335, an Explorer…), which you will have precisely determined the characteristics. It is this program that we can call on to build our own M2M models. Check out this collection on the Star’s Music website. If you want to build your dream guitar, just contact us so that we can select a reference model together (to be chosen from a list of instruments inspired in particular by the iconic guitars of Gibson's golden age), then the different options offered by the Custom Shop (body wood/neck/fingerboard, table grade, pickups, neck profile, fittings, colors, finish, etc.). These specifications are then sent to the Custom Shop for validation, quotation and evaluation of the delivery time. All you have to do is accept the quote and wait! A special order from our Custom Shop Made To Measure department, this GIBSON Custom Shop M2M Les Paul Custom #CS501799 (LPC-M2M21063) solid-body electric guitar features an unusual and refreshing Kerry Green color scheme, the familiar Custombucker pickups (CTS 500K potentiometers) and an immaculate Murphy Lab finish. Introduced in 1953, the Custom was initially conceived as a top-of-the-range version of the Les Paul Model. It was a request from Monsieur Les Paul himself, who dreamt of it in tuxedo-like black!
Production of the Les Paul Custom was discontinued in 1961 in favor of the Double-Cutaway, later known by its famous SG name. It was reintroduced in 1968, and underwent a number of subsequent evolutions.
