Introduced in the late '40s, the P-90 is a fantastic single-coil pickup, powerful, present and versatile, capable of delivering warm, silky jazz-like tones as well as biting, dynamic rock, blues and hard.

Completely at home in Country, Rockabilly and derivatives, Delta Blues, Slide, Jazz, etc., the Godin Kingpin is a generous, lively guitar whose performance goes beyond the conservative.

Une belle guitare qui ne souffre pas de la comparaison que l'on pourrait faire avec une Gison ES 125. Ce sont bien sûr deux instruments différents mais qui donnent beaucoup de plaisir à celles et ceux qui en jouent.

La finition est à la hauteur, aucun défaut ne transparait et le vernis satiné ajoute à l'aspect attachant de l'instrument.

La sonorité non branchée permet de travailler ou même de jouer devant un public restreint en utilisant un micro de reprise.
Branchée elle s'adapte facilement à la personnalité de l'ampli auquel elle est raccordée. Pour ma part, je joue essentiellement du jazz et le son qu'elle produit se marie très facilement avec mon Super Champ Fender ou un Laney que j'utilise en répétition studio (pour les amplis à lampes) et tout aussi bien avec mon DV MARK little jazz (transistors) que je promène partout.

Le confort de jeu est proche, pour ce qui est du manche, d'une Gibson. L'absence de cutaway ne gène en aucun cas pour le type de musique que je joue.

Très bon rapport qualité/prix

J'ai acheté cette guitare au magasin de Paris fin Décembre 2022 où j'ai été reçu agréablement.
