The Godin Multiac Nylon SA combines the performance of Godin's two best-sellers, the Multiac ACS-SA (for electronics) and the Multiac Nylon Duet Ambiance (for lutherie). The Multiac Nylon SA is a highly crafted instrument with an original and refined lutherie, combining a mahogany body with acoustic chambers, a solid spruce top and a mahogany neck with Richlite fingerboard, the latter optimizing the performance of the MIDI capper by reducing latency.
The Godin Multiac Nylon SA is equipped with individual pickups connected to a preamplifier specially designed by RMC Pickup. Not only does this give you conventional classical guitar sounds (without the annoying feedback of acoustic guitars), but the system also features a hexaphonic output and a 13-pin MIDI jack, giving direct access to Roland's GR Series guitar synthesizers - see the Godin Multiac Nylon SA video belowThe woods- The top of the Godin Multiac Nylon Duet Ambiance is made from high-quality solid spruce. Spruce is the benchmark species for acoustic guitar soundboards (also used for violins and mandolins). Compared with a 'laminated' top, a 'solid' top will have a richer, more complex and detailed sound, because it will vibrate more freely, and will tend to improve over the years of use. The back and sides are made of laminated mahogany; mahogany is a classic in the production of guitars, especially acoustic guitars; it is a noble wood whose rarity tends to make it expensive.
