Inaugurated in 2016, the Streamliner line of half-body and Jazz Box electric guitars offers a range of instruments that perfectly combine the original Gretsch style with more contemporary features. The lutherie of the GRETSCH G2622 Streamliner Center Block Double-Cut with V-Stoptail (2817050597) takes up the fundamentals of the semi-hollow body type: laminated Maple hollow body, glued Nato neck (close to Mahogany), Indian Laurel fingerboard (close to Rosewood), 24.75" scale.

Combining Alnico 2 and Alnico 5 magnets, Gretsch Broad'Tron BT-3S Humbucker pickups have superb character, with consistent bass, musical midrange and clear, velvety highs. The push/pull volume control lets you switch from single- to double-coil.

The G2622 is a versatile model that generates superb clean, crunchy tones, but can also saturate in a hard-rock style, thanks to its light spruce internal block that limits the feedback inherent in hollow-body guitars. The 22-fret, medium-jumbo neck is very user-friendly, with an easy-to-grasp Soft C profile. The Laurier fingerboard is made from a high-quality alternative to rosewood. With its superior density and stability, its acoustic performance is comparable to that of Brazilian rosewood.
