The lutherie of the GRETSCH G2420 Streamliner Hollow Body with Chromatic II Tailpiece (2817000520) takes up the fundamentals of the hollow body type: laminated Maple hollow body, glued Nato neck (close to Mahogany), Indian Laurel fingerboard (close to Rosewood), 24.75" scale.

Combining Alnico 2 and Alnico 5 magnets, Gretsch Broad'Tron BT-3S Humbucker pickups have a superb character, with consistent bass, musical midrange and clear, velvety highs.
The push/pull volume control lets you switch between single and double winding. The 22-fret medium-jumbo neck is very user-friendly, with an easy-to-grasp Soft C profile. The Laurier fingerboard is made from a high-quality alternative to rosewood. With its superior density and stability, its acoustic performance is comparable to that of Brazilian rosewood.
