Retro rock electric guitar

Influenced by the vintage Guilds of the 60's and 70's, the GUILD Newark St. Collection Surfliner Sunset Orange is a solid body electric guitar with a superb temperament, both visually and sonically. The combination of its traditional lutherie (poplar body, bolt-on neck in maple, 25.5" scale) and its Guild/Dearmond electronics provides a vast collection of sounds of astonishing quality. Each pickup in the HSS configuration has its own On/Off switch, providing a total of seven combinations.

Plus familier avec les guitares acoustiques de la marque, j'ai été littéralement bluffé par cette guitare électrique.

L'aspect: il n'a bien sûr aucune influence sur le son, mais c'est tout de même un véritable coup de cœur: la forme, la couleur, les finitions, donnent à cette guitare un look vintage bienvenue. La forme des switchs, très originale, est un choix osé, et reste une affaire de gout personnel. Personnellement j'adore, et le positionnement est optimale pour des changements rapides en plein morceaux.

Sonorités: les trois micros nous offrent une large palette de sonorité. Les sons cleans sont particulièrement beaux, que ce soit pour des sonorités pop, blues, rock, ou surf. Je m'ne sert principalement pour jouer du funk des années 70, le son est claire et tranchant pour ce genre de rythmique. Pour les sons plus saturés du type rock/metal, le son reste vintage et est optimale pour jouer les morceaux tu type années 60/70, mais je ne conseillerai pas pour du rock/metal moderne.

Prise en main: extrêmement agréable, assez similaire à ma guitare favorite, la EVH classique.

Finition: la guitare est arrivée chez moi en bon état. Le luthier était bluffé de la qualité de la finition, il n'a pas eu besoin de retoucher quoi que ce soit, ce qui est un gage du sérieux de la marque.

En résumé: une guitare qui propose des sonorités vintages au rapport qualité/prix imbattable !
