Cabinet simulator
Hughes & Kettner Red Box 5: the benchmark DI box/speaker simulation since its first version in the late 1980s. The Red Box perfectly reproduces the sound of a speaker cabinet, with clear, direct sound processing. The Red Box 5 offers new filtering options (small/large housings, modern/vintage speakers, loose/tight response). A trick used by great guitarists: mix a double take combining a classic microphone pickup and another via the Red Box later processed by emulation software.
