Acoustic bass
TheIBANEZ AEGB24 MHS is a compact electro-acoustic folk bass (short 32" scale), very playable and functional (cutaway, preamp), featuring a combination of laminated Sapele (top/back/sides), three-piece Nyatoh/Maple (neck) and Walnut (fingerboard). Its Ibanez AEQ2T system includes the essential parameters for easy, high-quality recordings (two-band EQ, tuner).
Sapele is a perfect substitute for Mahogany, both in appearance and sound, although it is noticeably more crystalline due to its considerably greater rigidity. In a compromise between Rosewood, Mahogany and Maple, Walnut has a well-balanced bass/midrange/treble frequency balance, combined with remarkable clarity. Its bass is generous and precise, its midrange dense and its treble fleshy.
