The atypical design of the Iceman is one of the brand's most iconic, endorsed by many musicians since its introduction in the 1970s. TheIBANEZ Iceman ICB620 BKF is a visually, ergonomically and acoustically attractive solid-body electric bass. It features an Okoume body (in the sound tradition of Mahogany), a bolt-on neck in Maple with a 22-fret Panga Panga fingerboard, and Bartolini BH2 pickups backed up by a high-performance Ibanez custom active circuit. Panga-Panga is a species native to Central Africa, which some luthiers rank on a par with Brazilian Rosewood.
