Solid body electric bass
For several decades, Ibanez has been offering musicians modern solid-body electric basses, with pleasant ergonomics and circuits offering a wide range of tonal options.
TheIBANEZ Mode Series MDM1600 CTL is no exception. It's Ibanez's updated vision of traditional design. While its lutherie remains conventional in the best sense of the word (alder body magnified by a burr poplar top, bolt-on neck in torrefied maple for added stability, rosewood fingerboard, 24" scale), its sophisticated circuitry generates classic/vintage tones as well as contemporary ones.
The Ibanez Sonitech S Preamp system retains the basic features of previous preamps (three-band equalization, active/passive switching), but is supported by the Hexa Mid circuit, which provides two separate midrange bands (selector switch on the back of the instrument), for a total of six options with the complementary three-position midrange selector switch located on the table with the other controls.
The Ibanez MDM therefore offers, in addition to impeccable workmanship, optimum playability and flexibility, which should convince bassists looking for an all-round instrument.
