Like all models in the AZ range, the IBANEZ Standard AZ22S2 BK electric guitar is the result of collaboration between the Japanese brand and today's top guitarists.
Inspired by a benchmark American solid body, the AZ22S2 impeccably combines traditional elements with more contemporary features. It features an Alder body, a torrefied Maple neck and a Jatoba fingerboard (22 jumbo stainless steel frets, 25.5" scale). The drying process enhances stability, vibration transmission and the instrument's natural acoustic qualities. The "Super All Access Neck Joint" provides optimum access to the high notes.
The HSS set of Ibanez Classic Custom pickups, combined with a dyna-MIX9 switching system w/Alter Switch circuit, offers no less than ten different combinations of sound flexibility! The 24-fret fingerboard is made of Jatoba (or Brazilian Cherry), a wood with tonal characteristics similar to Pau Ferro. warm, punchy sounds.
