The Meranti body, bolt-on neck in Maple, Jatoba fingerboard, 24 frets, Ibanez Quantum single- and double-coil pickups, double-block vibrato - a sustainable and widely available wood from the forests of Southeast Asia - are designed specifically for metal guitarists, with its 24-fret fingerboard and Ibanez Edge-Zero II double-block vibrato. Its physical and therefore acoustic characteristics are similar to those of mahogany. The fingerboard is made of Jatoba (or Brazilian Cherry), a wood whose tonal characteristics are close to those of Pau Ferro. Both warm and punchy.
