Its hybrid Ibanez Dynamix pickup configuration between Precision and Jazz Bass provides numerous options, always full of clarity and dynamics. The fingerboard is made of Ebonol, an excellent substitute for Ebony. Ebonol is a synthetic/high-pressure laminate made from layers of paper and phenolic resin, offering similar visual and sonic characteristics to Ebony. Often used in the design of bowed string and wind instruments (notably clarinets, and for fretless bass keys).
