The JACKSON Pro Plus Series Soloist SLA3Q is a solid body electric guitar with all the essential features for the Hard-Rock / Heavy-Metal guitarist, whether rhythm or soloist.
The Pro Plus Soloist SLA3 is an attractively priced all-rounder with a strong case for traditional/modern lutherie (Okoume body, maple top, three-piece maple/walnut through-neck, 24-fret Ebony fingerboard). Not to be outdone, its equipment includes Seymour Duncan JB TB-6 (bridge) and Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 (neck/center) pickups, Floyd Rose 1000 double-block vibrato, stainless steel frets, etc. Used for decades by the maritime and aeronautical industries, Okoume (native to West Africa) is the wood of choice for electric guitars (John Suhr used it for many years).
This light / low-density wood can be considered a Mahogany, with more pronounced high frequencies and an extended dynamic range, exacerbating the instrument's clarity.
