Featuring excellent ergonomics ("Speed Neck" neck profile, 12/16" hybrid radius), the JACKSON X Series Soloist SLX DX (2919914552) solid body electric guitar will appeal to all Hard-Rock and Metal fans. Poplar body, Maple through-neck, 24-fret Laurier fingerboard, Jackson double-coil pickups with ceramic and AlNiCo magnets, Floyd Rose Special double-locking vibrato. Poplar is considered an alternative to Alder, with a similar frequency balance.
This species is affordable and therefore often used to build entry-level instruments.

The laurel on which the fingerboard is made is an excellent alternative to rosewood. With superior density and stability, its acoustic performance is comparable to that of Brazilian Rosewood.
