Sounds and Layering

The three SK-EX variations let you choose a brighter piano sound for jazz or a softer one for quiet pieces. The piano also offers other sound families, such as electric pianos, organs, and strings.

Dual mode plays two sounds together, such as a piano and strings. Split mode assigns one sound to the left hand and another to the right hand. Four-Hands mode divides the keyboard into two zones of the same register, allowing a teacher and student to play side by side.

Learning and Recording

The built-in metronome helps you practice rhythm and timing. The internal recorder is MIDI-based: it saves performance data rather than an audio file, allowing you to listen to your performance directly on the piano.

Bluetooth and Apps

Bluetooth Audio receives audio from a smartphone or tablet and plays it through the piano’s speakers, allowing you to play along with a song. It is not designed to send the piano’s sound to Bluetooth headphones.

Bluetooth MIDI transmits performance data to a compatible app, for example, to control settings or display sheet music. The app must be installed on the device.

Playing with Headphones

The piano offers spatial settings for headphones, with processing tailored to the type of headphones (open-back, closed-back, or in-ear). Playing with headphones allows you to practice at low volume without using the speakers, but the keys and pedals remain audible.

Weighing approximately 37 kg, the CX-202 LO is designed to remain in a single room. It measures approximately 136.5 cm wide by 40.5 cm deep (85.5 cm high with the music stand folded down). Allow space for a seat and room to move while playing. The sliding keyboard cover protects the keys, and the Light Oak finish is purely decorative.
