Overview

The KORG PS-3300 marks the return of one of KORG’s rarest polyphonic analog synthesizers. Developed in collaboration with Fumio Mieda, the designer of the original model, this modern version faithfully recreates the architecture and sonic character of the 1977 PS-3300, while incorporating significant improvements to suit contemporary studios.

Impressive polyphony with 49 voices for unlimited creativity

Fully polyphonic, the PS-3300 offers up to 49 voices, powered by three independent PSU-3301 sound generators. Each section has its own VCO, VCF, VCA, and envelope generator, as well as two modulation generators and three voltage-controlled resonant bandpass filters, allowing for precise sound customization.

A semi-modular architecture for enhanced flexibility

With its semi-modular architecture, the PS-3300 can be used right out of the box without the need for complex wiring, while offering numerous connection points to create elaborate routing and modulation setups. This design encourages sonic experimentation, pushing beyond traditional boundaries.

Advanced technical features for a dynamic and scalable sound

The PSU-3302 system, featuring a Sample & Hold circuit and a global envelope generator, allows you to explore a wide range of routing and modulation possibilities. Its three-band resonator generates evolving sound textures, phaser and wah effects, as well as numerous timbral variations.

Modern connectivity and simplified sound management

The current version of the PS-3300 features programmable memory with 256 programs organized into 16 banks of 16 slots. Modern connectivity includes MIDI IN, OUT, and THRU, as well as a USB Type-B port, facilitating integration into studio setups. The KORG PS-3300 Sound Librarian software also allows you to manage and organize programs directly from a computer.
