Classical guitar 4/4 size
The Kremona company was founded in 1924 by Dimitar Georgiev, assisted by his two brothers and two German master craftsmen. The workshops have always been located in Bulgaria, in the valley of Orpheus, between the Balkans and the Rodopi mountains. Kremona guitars are currently produced by some 120 experienced craftsmen and luthiers. Over the years, and particularly over the last two decades, Kremona has gained great popularity for the quality of its work. Combining traditional manufacturing methods with more contemporary processes, uncompromising wood selection and rigorous machining, Kremona continues to improve the performance and playability of its instruments.
The KREMONA Green Globe Sofia S65C GG (Natural) is a 4/4 classical guitar built around a solid Cedar top, a laminated African Mahogany back and sides, a Balkan Maple neck and a Purple Heart fingerboard. The fingerboard is made of Amaranth or Purple Heart. This is a relatively rare, high-quality species from South American forests. Its high density provides extended sustain, excellent dynamics and clarity.
It can be compared to Brazilian rosewood.
