Sold with a Lag gig bag, the LAG Smart BlueWave 1 TNBW1TE is a Travel / Voyage electro-acoustic classical guitar (nylon strings).
Featuring a solid Cedar top, Santos rosewood back and sides, Khaya neck, Brown Brankowood fingerboard (rosewood alternative), and BlueWave preamp with reverb, delay and Bluetooth connection, this small-sized nylon string has a remarkable price/performance ratio. Its luthiery is objectively impeccable, providing dynamic, well-balanced tones. It also benefits from the BlueWave preamp, which in addition to the traditional functions (volume, EQ) lets you add reverb (room or hall) and/or delay without having to use external processors. Khaya is a tropical wood belonging to the Mahogany family. Its sound is characterized by a strong midrange and muffled bass and treble. Its grain is similar to that of Honduran mahogany.
BrankoWood is the invention of Australian scientist Branko Hermescee. It took him two decades to develop a revolutionary process endorsed by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). BrankoWood is made from short-cycle pine trees from New Zealand. The wood is first dried to bring its moisture content down to 10%, then impregnated with catalysts and pigments in pressurized vats, followed by a second drying phase to bring its moisture content down to 2 or 3%, before a second pressurized impregnation, this time with resin.
The 3rd phase consists in compressing the material to lose up to 40% of its mass and densify it. Depending on the degree of compression, we obtain Pale BrankoWood (equivalent to Spruce), Brown BrankoWood (equivalent to Rosewood) or Black BrankoWood (equivalent to Ebony). Last phase: fine sanding for perfect appearance and contact.
