Classical guitar 4/4 size
Designed/supervised by master luthier Maurice Dupont and featuring an on-board tuner, the 4/4-size LAG Occitania OC70 HIT classical guitar features a solid Englemann spruce top, laminated Sapelli back and sides, Okoumé (mahogany) neck, and Brownwood* bridge and fingerboard.
Brownwood is an ideal substitute for rosewood, derived from short-cycle pines from New Zealand. The wood is first dried to bring its moisture content down to 10%, then impregnated with catalysts and pigments in pressure tanks. A second drying phase brings its moisture content down to 2 or 3%, before a second impregnation, this time with resin, under pressure.
The 3rd phase consists in compressing the material to lose up to 40% of its mass and densify it.
Last phase: fine sanding for perfect appearance and contact.
