Classical guitar 4/4 size
The LAG Occitania OC88 4/4-size classical guitar features a solid Englemann spruce top, laminated Khaya back/thicknesses/neck, and Brownwood bridge and fingerboard. It's a superb, versatile instrument (classical, French variety, South American music), offering outstanding sound quality and great playing comfort. Native to Africa, Khaya is a noble mahogany with a wide frequency response.
Brownwood is an ideal substitute for Rosewood, derived from short-cycle pines from New Zealand. The wood is first dried to bring its moisture content down to 10%, then impregnated with catalysts and pigments in pressurized vats, followed by a second drying phase to bring its moisture content down to 2 or 3%, before a second pressurized impregnation, this time with resin.
The 3rd phase consists in compressing the material to lose up to 40% of its mass and densify it.
Last phase: fine sanding for perfect appearance and contact.
