Electro acoustic guitar
Embellished with an ergonomic chamfered top, the LAG Tramontane T118ABCE (Black) steel-string acoustic guitar is an irresistible electro-acoustic Auditorium cutaway! featuring a solid Red Cedar top, laminated Khaya back/thicknesses/neck and Brownwood* fingerboard, it's packed with quality, with superb warm, rich and dynamic tones, and undeniable playing comfort. Functionality follows suit with a cutaway and Astro-LÂG preamplifier.
Khaya is a tropical wood belonging to the mahogany family, with a grain similar to Honduran mahogany, and a sound with present midrange and muffled bass and treble. 2* Brownwood is an ideal substitute for rosewood, derived from short-cycle pines from New Zealand. The wood is first dried to bring its moisture content down to 10%, then impregnated with catalysts and pigments in pressure tanks. A second drying phase brings its moisture content down to 2 or 3%, before a second impregnation, this time with resin, under pressure.
The 3rd phase consists in compressing the material to lose up to 40% of its mass and densify it.
Last phase: fine sanding for perfect appearance and contact.
