It allows you to connect your turntable to devices lacking a phono input, such as a mixer, a sound reinforcement amplifier, a sound card/audio interface...

Features of the LD Systems PPA 2:

Phono inputs are made, like line outputs, on RCA/cinch connectors.
The PPA 2 offers a screw terminal for grounding the turntable and a 6.35mm stereo jack socket for connecting headphones.
The preamplifier's distortion rate is less than 0.05% and crosstalk is less than -75 dB.

The LD Systems PPA 2 is powered via an external 12-volt power supply unit; its power status is indicated by an LED located on the top of the sturdy metal housing of the device.
