Guitar synthesizer
The new pedal from American brand Meris is a rhythmic pitch shifter. It features three voices, each with its own pitch and delay time settings.
A knob called "Key" adjusts the tone. Micro Tune" adjusts the pitch shifter's three voices slightly up or down. The "Mix" pot adjusts the balance between direct sound and pedal-generated harmonies.
An "Alt" switch provides access to a second settings page, where the "Mix" setting adjusts the number of delay repeats, and the pots dedicated to each pitch-shift voice set the different times of the three delays.
You can tap the desired tempo via the "Tap" footswitch. The Hedra operates in stereo input and output, and features several delay modes that distribute repeats across stereo space.
A jack input allows connection of an expression pedal, enabling you to switch from one setting to another using the pedal stroke.
The Hedra can be operated in preset mode, either with an optional 4-button footswitch, or via MIDI protocol.
The respective levels of inputs and outputs can be changed to work with a keyboard or guitar; a microphone can even be connected to apply the effect to a voice.
