Modulation, chorus, flanger, phaser & tremolo effect pedal
The Meris Ottobit series, inspired by vintage video games, has been
designed to give musicians and sound designers the tools to sculpt their sounds, with timbres inspired by retro game consoles.
The new Ottobit X pedal takes this concept a step further, in an even more advanced tool enriched with lo-fi sounds reminiscent of the 80s. Modular decay and texture engine, steeped in vintage nostalgia.
Featuring an all-new Glitch category, Ottobit X pushes the boundaries of real-time manipulation, going even further than its predecessors.
Its parameters include the following functions: Grain Freeze, with improved response time and independent pitch control; a fully updated stereo version of the classic Ottobit Jr. Stutter, with independent control of playback speed and subdivision; Push Looper and Wikki Wikki (one-button loopers with expressive real-time speed control); Tape Stop for striking slow-down effects; and Stutter Step, a sequenced stuttering engine with unique triggering and synchronization behavior.
Pitch processing is equally advanced, with 5 transposition modes, including the new Otto Tune with integrated pitch correction.
The Modulation category includes a pitch-tracking AM/FM ring modulator from Ottobit's 500 series. New sound processors include a frequency control capable of producing both subtle inharmonic movements and aggressive metallic textures, a sequenced tremolo with precise step subdivision control, and Vibe, a rich, aquatic phase shifter with adjustable LFO bias for punchy bass.
