Electric guitar amp head
Designed and handcrafted in Petaluma, California, USA, the MESA BOOGIE Mark VII Rackmount Head (Black) may well be Randall Smith's ultimate guitar amp. Extremely functional and flexible, the Mark VII delivers the quintessential Mesa Boogie sound. Built around a tube chassis with 4x 6L6, 5x 12AX7 and "Silicon Diodes" rectification circuitry, the Mark VII provides three channels with three individual modes. Each channel has its own controls. The power stage offers three options that can be assigned to each channel: 25 watts in Class A Triode, 45 watts in Class A Pentode, 90 watts in Simul-Class Class A / Class A/B.
Add to this the legendary Mesa Boogie five-band graphic equalizer, also assignable, an assignable tube/spring reverb, a serial buffered effect loop, MIDI control capabilities for certain features (channels 1, 2, 3, Reverb, FX Loop, Graphic EQ) and a CabClone IR™ DI Direct Interface speaker cabinet simulation, and you've got one of the most impeccable high-end amps available.
