Electric guitar power amp
The Amp 100 is the new high-power model in The Amp range, which set the benchmark for pedalboard-sized hybrid tube/Class D guitar amps in 2018. Its maximum power has been increased to 100 W, and an integrated FET boost circuit and dual-control reverb have been added. A black finish with walnut end caps and silver knobs complete the new look.
The Amp 100 features an internal FET boost that starts at unity gain and can function as an "always on" equalizer, subtly boosting the midrange, or as a powerful drive pushing the 12AX7 tube to maximum saturation. The boost is placed between the triodes of the preamp tubes. Its internal positioning preserves the interaction between the instrument input and the first tube stage, and also increases headroom, enabling the Amp 100 to work perfectly with external drive and boost pedals.
