The BOUM includes a compressor, a versatile distortion generator and a smooth low-pass filter. It is offered by the OTO brand.

Boum highlights

Boum is the perfect tool when you need to add warmth, thickness and character to your sounds, but also to apply severe distortion and extreme compression treatments.
It's based on a unique, original circuit.

The Boum's key features

Input gain

Increase your signal up to +18 dB to adapt BOUM to different signal levels, and also improve distortion content and compression sensitivity.

Compressor

With a single knob, control the 3 essential parameters of a compressor: threshold, ratio and gain.

Lo Cut Filter

Attenuate the distortion content of low frequencies with this 6 dB / Octave lo cut filter, making the distorted sound easier to blend with the original filter.

Distortion generator

Choose from 4 different distortion circuits

Boost

Gentle clipping amplifier, perfect for subtle harmonic enhancement

Tube

Asymmetrical tube distortion emulator based on MOSFET technology. Generates mainly second harmonic distortion.

Fuzz

Symmetrical clipping amplifier, similar to an overdrive mixer preamplifier.

Square

Pure square wave generator based on a comparator. The ultimate fuzz!

Hi Cut Filter

Soften high frequencies with this 12 db / octave low-pass filter.

Noise Gate

Eliminate noise from processing, or use it for interesting chopping effects.

All these analog effects are packed into a compact format, with 36 user presets and full MIDI control.

Excellent effet de distorsion / compression.

Qualité de fabrication au top, très facile d'utilisation.

J'adore son grain et sa diversité de distorsions.

Se marie super bien avec des percs ou synthés. Je ne l'ai pas encore testé sur guitare mais j'imagine qu'elle sera tout à fait à l'aise.

Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !

C’est magique !
A prendre avec des pincettes au debut, pour en savourer les textures..
La qualité est là, c’est robuste, on a envie de l’utiliser. Ça donne un plus et une chaleur à tout ce que vous ferez rentrer dedans.

Grosse tuerie, en remplacement d'une Strymon Deco (bof), c'est je jour et la nuit.
ça marche fort sur la partie rythmique et synthé.

Je surkiffe, ça chauffe un peu

Woawww!!! C’est terrible. Qualité irréprochable, précision exemplaire et très agréable à utiliser pour travailler en studio, génial à utiliser sur scène! Je recommande ce produit à toutes personnes voulant investir dans un delay de très bonne qualité! Il paraît cher à l’achat, mais à ce prix là j’en connais pas de meilleur.

Super machine.
Les processeurs sont top.
Les contrôles très simples et intuitifs.
Machines facile à manipuler.

Attention juste à une chose. Les presets d'usine sont très bien. Passés les 2 premiers banques les "reverbtime" sont à fond. Attention aux boucles!!
