Di box
The Palmer RIVER Mosel is much more than just a direct box; it is a high-end tool designed for professional musicians, offering optimal sound reinforcement solutions both on stage and in the studio.
Overview
The Palmer RIVER Mosel is a high-end active DI box designed to convert a high-impedance, unbalanced signal—typically from instruments such as guitars, basses, keyboards, or synthesizers—into a low-impedance, balanced signal. This makes it perfectly suited for connection to mixing consoles or audio interfaces.
An input designed to preserve sound quality
Its active input stage features an impedance of 600 kΩ, preserving the character and dynamics of instruments, particularly those equipped with magnetic or piezo pickups. The Mosel is thus ideal for live performances without compromising audio quality.
Effective isolation against interference
Equipped with an isolated transformer featuring Mu-metal shielding, the Mosel provides effective galvanic isolation. This helps reduce hum, ground loops, and electromagnetic interference, ensuring a clear and precise sound in all your applications.
Versatile Features for All Your Needs
The Mosel features a switchable attenuator offering several options: -0, -10, -20, or -30 dB, in addition to adjustable gain of up to +12 dB for low-level signals. In addition, a THRU output allows you to simultaneously route the input signal to an amplifier.
Manual solutions for complex installations
The Ground Lift system offers two modes—Soft and Hard—to effectively resolve grounding issues encountered in complex audio installations. This gives you the flexibility to tailor your setup to your specific needs.
Flexible Power Options for All Environments
The Palmer RIVER Mosel operates on 48V phantom power or a 9V battery, offering great flexibility whether on stage or in the studio. It also features a built-in battery tester for optimal ease of use.
Robust and Durable Design
With a rugged metal housing, the Palmer RIVER Mosel is designed to withstand the rigors of the stage while performing reliably in a studio environment. This model is the ideal choice for audio professionals who prioritize the quality of their equipment.
