The STAVECRAFT MAKHA 14 X 5 is a snare drum offered by the Pearl brand.
A unique process in the world!
Producing a clean and powerful sound, StaveCraft snare drums are an astonishing enrichment of the sound environment of any professional player. Each 25 mm thick shell is made of two layers of meticulously beveled Makha. Thanks to a principle exclusive to these snare drums, an additional socket made of exotic Thai oak wood is inserted into the central Dado channel formed by each socket. This "Dado-Loc" joint system increases the total strength of the snare drum by 50%.
The shell is then lathed to obtain a perfectly round thickness of 25 mm, hand lacquered and equipped with Swivel Tube Lugs and MasterCast molded hoops for more volume and tuning precision.
