Reverb, delay & echo effect pedal

programmable (127 presets via MIDI, 1 on-board preset) and stereo, the RED PANDA Context 2 is a reverb pedal inspired by the rack effects of the '80s. It features eight onboard algorithms, including room, hall, cathedral, with gate, reverse, plate, spring and granular.
Version 2 adds stereo inputs and outputs, USB MIDI, external expression pedal control, 3 new modes, delay and reverb in all modes, separate base and treble settings, modulation, dynamic reverb and infinite sustain. The room, hall, cathedral, gate and plate reverb algorithms are updates of version 1's reverbs, but delay is now available in all modes.

The Modulation setting changes the amount and character of the internal modulation, giving a mix of different modulation types from reverbs of the '80s and early '90s, including chorus, pitch-stable random modulation and intensely modulated reverb. You can adjust the modulation frequency by holding down the Shift button. The reverse reverb is progressively louder and brighter to give the impression of playing backwards, and the modulation adds normal reverb. The spring reverb is not inspired by any particular spring reverb. Instead, Red Panda has designed a spring reverb algorithm using the techniques and algorithms that were used in 80s reverbs, but with much more processing power. The result is a spring-like reverb with its own character. You can adjust the length of the effect's release, as well as the bass and treble. The modulation is a tremolo with adjustable intensity and speed. Grain mode is a granular reverb inspired by the Ursa Major SST-282 Space Station, which came out in 1978 and used multiple delays with modulation to create reverb effects. The Context can create ghostly reverb effects, from slow-sweeping resonances to becoming a multi-voiced granular processor that creates clouds of detuned sound fragments to give totally new reverb sounds. When the Shift button is pressed, the upper knobs adjust the delay parameters. The Hi and Lo knobs adjust the dynamics, allowing you to modify the threshold and recovery time. Keeping the footswitches pressed gives infinite sustain. The left footswitch keeps the input active so that the sound rises. The right footswitch freezes the reverb while your original signal continues to play. 1 preset is available on the left footswitch and 127 via MIDI or external footswitch. An expression pedal or CV (Control Voltage) can be assigned to any combination of parameters. Finally, there's an online editor for further editing of your presets.
