REVV AMPLIFICATION G4 Distortion v2 is a high-gain distortion pedal inspired by the Red channel of the brand's Generator G120 amplifier. It's sharp, organic ("amp-in-a-box"), clear thanks to generous low-mid frequencies, and versatile thanks to a three-position voicing selector (Red/Off/Blue). The Off option generates tones ranging from ACDC to 1980s heavy metal, depending on the settings.
The Blue option offers more gain and low frequencies, with a compression that evokes 1990s saturation (Metallica). The Red option is the meanest for guitarists who like contemporary Metal Core or Djent saturation. The flexibility of this Revv G4 v2, thanks to formidably responsive controls, will enable you to find convincing results by connecting it to the amp's front panel as well as to its effects loop return if available.
