At the end of 1970, Seymour Duncan was the reference for any guitarist looking for custom pickups. In 1978, Eddie Van Halen entrusted him with his P.A.F. to rewind, with the constraint of making it more sensitive to natural and artificial harmonics. The new Seymour Duncan '78 Model humbucker is equipped with Alnico 2 magnets and wound to the exact specifications applied at the time to the legendary guitarist's pickup. The clever combination of these magnets and custom windings promises fiery crunches, biting leads and eruptions of overtone-laden tapping.
