Borrowing various elements from eccentric Fender models of the 1960s, the SQUIER Paranormal Rascal Bass HH (0377105546) solid-body electric bass has more than one ace up its sleeve. Offered at a competitive price, it's off the beaten track with a hybrid design (Bass VI-inspired body, Coronado headstock, Mustang-through-string bridge), and a duo of Fender-Designed Wide Range humbucking pickups delivering full, generous tones.

The body is made of Poplar, a species considered an alternative to Alder, with a similar frequency balance.
The fingerboard is made of Laurier, a high-quality alternative to Rosewood. With superior density and stability, its acoustic performance is comparable to that of Brazilian Rosewood.
