Solid body electric bass

The 5-string STEINBERGER XT-25 Standard Bass (XTSTD5WH1) is the ultimate electric travel bass, with an overall length of 98 cm and a space-saving size (standard 34" scale). It has the same distinctive appearance as the legendary headless Synapse "stick bass", with its characteristic, ultra-precise tuning system (Double-Ball tuning system, ratio 40:1).
The XT Bass is built around a through-neck in 3-part maple with 24 frets, with two humbucking pickups for excellent versatility, and comes in a Steinberger gig bag.

Basse très pratique pour le transport, notamment dans les transports en commun. Toutefois, il est difficile de trouver une bonne position de jeu par rapport à la forme de cette basse quand on a l'habitude de jouer sur des formes plus traditionnelles. Le son est sobre mais manque de précision et de chaleur.
La basse est arrivée non réglée, avec des cordes vraiment bas de gamme. J'ai voulu y mettre des strap locks mais le bois semble très fragile donc j'ai renoncé car il fallait agrandir un peu les trous d'origine.
Bref, un instrument qu'on emmène en vacances pour continuer à faire sa pratique quotidienne mais il ne faut pas en attendre beaucoup plus.
