The Thorens TAS 1600 is an Ortofon Hifi Cartridge for TD 1600 & TD 1601.
Designed specifically for the TD 1600 and TD 1601 models, the TAS 1600 moving coil cartridge is one of the highlights of these vinyl turntables. This low-efficiency MC provides good power with an output voltage of 0.4 millivolts (5.5 cm/s), as well as an internal resistance of 12 omhs, which makes it compatible with common phono preamplifiers. The precision of the sound is also there, thanks to a fine Line Contact diamond that transmits the slightest sonic subtlety.
